Application of HAZOP,LOPA and SIL to a liquid chlorine packaging device
Three analysis and evaluation methods were used to conduct a comprehensive risk assessment of liquid chlorine packaging device,ie hazard and operability analysis(HAZOP),protective layer analysis(LOPA)and safety integrity level(SIL).Firstly,HAZOP analysis was used to identify the operational problems and risk factors that may occur in the process of the device. The risk assessment was carried out in combination with the risk matrix. The improvement plans and measures were proposed.Secondly, the LOPA analysis was used to quantitatively evaluate the current protection methods, and the SIL was used to evaluate whether the current safety instrumented system design was reasonable, whether the risk of accidents could be effectively controlled. The use of these three analytical evaluation methods could comprehensively assess the risks of liquid chlorine packaging plants and proposed corresponding safety improvement measures.
