Accessibility Guarantee of Mental Eldercare Service in Rural Communities Against the Background of Active Ageing
With the social and economic development of rural areas and the increasingly improving old-age security system in China, the spiritual needs of older people in rural areas and the mental care service there have gradually attracted attention from all walks of life.Actively coping with population ageing is an important strategic deployment made by China in the context of the severe population ageing, and it has become a new guideline to satisfy the spiritual comfort of the rural elderly with the advanced concept of encouraging social participation and intergenerational mutual assistance of older people, and the pursuit of the value of guaranteeing a sense of enjoyment and worthiness in the old age.In the context of this strategy, rural communities are the end of the elderly care front and assume the main responsibility of providing spiritual eldercare services. However,in the face of the rich and diverse spiritual needs of the elderly, rural communities are confronted by supply-demand decoupling. In order to enable the rural elderly to spend their old age happily in a familiar environment,we should reconcile the coupling deviation from three aspects:strengthening formal support, promoting mutual assistance among neighbours, and cultivating spiritual"self support"to ensure the accessibility of spiritual elderly care services in rural communities.
