Elderly Care Function and System Improvement of Voluntary Guardianship of Seniors
The voluntary guardianship system offers a novel service approach and safeguard measure for elderly care.Currently,due to the insufficient supply of the voluntary guardianship system,the lagging development of service resources,and incomplete supporting mechanisms,various regions in China have encountered some problems and confusion in implementing the voluntary guardianship system.These challenges mainly include:the regulations of the voluntary guardianship system fails to meet the urgent demands of its implementation;the available service resources cannot adequately meet the practical care needs of the elderly;and the voluntary guardianship service mechanism has not yet achieved standardized and coordinated operation.To strengthen the role of the voluntary guardianship system in elderly care,the following countermeasures are proposed:strengthening the systematic construction of the voluntary guardianship system,vigorously cultivating social guardianship organizations and promoting their development,guiding older adults to make plans in advance for elderly care,and improving supporting mechanisms of the voluntary guardianship system for seniors.
