A double contact double absorption metallurgical acid plant is installed in the green upgrading of a smeltering company to treat various flue ga-ses containing SO2 generated during the production process.The design scheme,process flow and characteristics,key equipment and specifications of the unit are presented.The operation practice of the acid plant show that all process parameters have met the design specifications,the total conversion rate is over 99.85%,and the tail gas emission satisfies the code requirements,indicating that the acid technology is advanced and reliable,with good environ-mental and social benefits.
