The Travel in "Pursuit of Quaintness":Su Shi's Two-Way Construction of the Culture and Poetics of the Northern Song Dynasty
Su Shi,in his masterful interpretation of the poem"Yúwēng"(The Fisherman)by Liu Zongyuan, embarked on a journey of the two-way construction of the culture and poetics of the Northern Song Dynasty with the concept of"qíqù"(pursuit of quaintness). He discovered that Liu Zongyuan interpreted the life aesthetics of Qu Yuan from the perspective of"pursuit of quaintness".Based on the proposition of cultural construction in the Northern Song Dynasty,Su Shi used this concept to reflect on and integrate the cultural fields of Yan Hui's joy and Tao Yuanming's self-contentment,and constructed the cultural implications and poetic aesthetic framework of Song poetry centering around Yan Hui and Tao Yuanming outside of Wang Yangming's School and the Luo School.Su's Shu School and the Luo School practiced different cultural approaches.
