"Two Answers"To Jumping out of the Historical Cycle:Connotations,Dialectical Relationship and Practical Approach
In 1945,Mao Zedong gave the first answer to escaping the historical cycle during"the conversation with Huang Yanpei in the kiln":empower the people to supervise the government.After a long period of practical exploration and especially the in-depth promotion of the full and rigorous self-governance of the Party since the 18th CPC National Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping,in the report to the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,has made clear the second answer to escaping the historical cycle of rise and fall of governance:self-revolution.On the new journey ahead,we need to deeply understand the connotations of the"two answers",grasp the dialectical relationship of the"two answers"in complementary mechanisms,logical extensions and internal unity,and on this basis,well apply the"two answers"into the new practice of combining people's supervision and self-revolution under the leadership of the Party.
