Based on the data of Hengyang National Air Station and Particulate Component Station, combined with lidar detection means, the change trend of air quality in Hengyang City in the first quarter of 2023 is analyzed and studied, and the impact of dust weather on ambient air quality is further analyzed. The research shows that from March 12th to 13th,the proportion of calcium ions increased from 2.17%before the impact of dust transport to a peak of 17.09%,an increase of over 7 times; The proportion of silicon element increased from 3.07%before the impact of sand and dust transport to a peak of 42.24%,an increase of more than 13 times. The results indicate that the changes in PM2.5 concentration in the first quarter of 2023 are closely related to meteorological transmission conditions and air humidity. After the pollution cluster arrives, the wind speed decreases, the pollution accumulates, and the PM2.5 concentration increases. The high humidity environment will also provide favorable conditions for the increase of PM2.5 concentration. In the middle of March, the concentration and proportion of calcium ion and silicon element in PM2.5 components increase significantly, mainly due to the impact of sand sources in Mongolia.
