As a kind of polyphenol oxidase,laccase is widely distributed in nature,and can degrade lignin,aromatic compounds and so on under aerobic conditions,which plays an important role in environmental governance.And in most cases,water is the only product after the reactions.The paper introduces the category,the structure and properties of laccase,and its catalytic mechanism.The specific applications of laccase as an environmentally friendly green catalyst for the treatment of soil pollutants,water pollutants,solid waste and air pollutants is also highlighted.It is pointed out that it has a very broad prospect,and its practical role in environmental restoration still needs to be discovered and continuously explored.
