This study aims to explore the engineering application of carbon source selection in the treatment of high nitrogen wastewater from cold rolling pickling, evaluate the performance of different carbon sources, determine the most suitable carbon source for treating high nitrogen wastewater, and compare their treatment costs and safety. The study adopts a composite carbon source composed of multiple single carbon sources, the research results indicate that composite carbon sources perform well in treating high nitrogen wastewater, with lower treatment costs and higher safety compared to methanol.During the trial period, the process parameters and water quality indicators were stable and met the standards, proving the feasibility and effectiveness of the composite carbon source.
