This article provides a technology and engineering solution for the disposal of mining residues and polluted soil from the perspective of applied research.Through preliminary investigation and evaluation,a qualitative and quantitative analysis was conducted on the pollution status of illegal gold mining sites left over from history. It has been confirmed that risk control measures need to be implemented for the slag and surrounding polluted soil discovered during the investigation. The target value for arsenic control is 60 mg/kg,and a risk control measure of"centralized landfill-ecological restoration-institutional control"will be adopted.Through the above control measures, the pollution risk of residual slag on surrounding farmland and water bodies has been controlled, especially the pollution risk of drinking water sources. The accumulated technical and engineering experience during the project implementation process can provide reference for other similar projects.
