The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of different aquaculture wastewater treatment methods in reducing major pollutants in fish pond water.Four aquaculture ponds in Guangzhou were selected as the study objects.Water quality monitoring was conducted on the wastewater during the initial, middle, and final stages of aquaculture, and principal component analysis was used to extract the major pollutants affecting the water quality of aquaculture wastewater.Under different aquaculture wastewater treatment methods, this study analyzed the concentration changes of major pollutants in different aquaculture stages and explored the purification effectiveness of different aquaculture wastewater treatment methods on fish pond water. The results showed that the concentration of ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus in the treated aquaculture wastewater decreased significantly compared to before treatment. The four common aquaculture wastewater treatment methods selected in this study had significant effects on reducing the major pollutants of ammonia nitrogen and total phosphorus in aquaculture water, with considerable purification effectiveness.
