In order to reduce the interference of chloride ion on the determination of total organic carbon in high salinity seawater, the wet oxidation-non-dispersive infrared absorption method was used to determine the total organic carbon in seawater. The feasibility of the method was verified by optimizing the reaction conditions, drawing the calibration curve, precision test, accuracy test and other tests, and the actual samples were determined. The results show that the correlation coefficient of the calibration curve is 0.999 5,the relative standard deviation is 1.1%-6.0%,and the spiked recovery rate is 94.0%-98.8%,which is suitable for the determination of total organic carbon in seawater.
