Study on the independence of prosecutors in the context of judicial reform
For a long time,China has positioned the procuratorial organ as a legal supervisory organ,as well as a national judicial organ.As the reform of the judicial accountability of the prosecution service continues to ad-vance,it is necessary to revisit the issue of the independence of prosecutors.The current reform of criminal proce-dure calls for a more judicial approach to the prosecution,which makes it necessary for prosecutors to have appro-priate independence.We must change the strict"obedience to authority"approach to the administration of prose-cutors in the past and give them a certain status as legal subjects in order to guarantee their independence in case-handling,on the basis of adhereing the supervision and management of the prosecutors by the Prosecutor General,in order to meet the needs of judicial reform.
