Parametric Design Study of Permanent Magnet-assisted Synchronous Reluctance Motor Based on U-magnetic Barrier Rotor
For the U-magnetic barrier rotor, the research on permanent magnet-assisted synchronous reluctance motor(PMA-SynRM)is carried out in stator and rotor design. The 4-pole 24-slot small PMA-SynRM designed in this paper taken as an example, the electromagnetic performance and torque performance under different stator split ratios and air-gap lengths are compared;the parametric design model and method for the U-magnetic barrier rotor are proposed, and the effects of the parameters of the U-rotor on the alternating and straight axes of the inductance difference, output torque, and torque pulsation of the PMA-SynRM are studied. With the help of finite element analysis method to verify the reasonableness of parametric design analysis,it is found that when the electromagnetic and torque parameters of the motor are simulated and analyzed by using the parametric analysis method, the optimum value of a parameter selection of the rotor occurs, and the optimum solution for the design of the u-rotor can be selected comprehensively, which can provide reference for the design and analysis of the same type of PMA-SynRM.
