Research Progress in Preparation of Silicon Steel Grade Magnesium Oxide
As one of the special series of magnesium oxide,silicon steel grade magnesium oxide is mainly used as an important coating material for the production of oriented silicon steel.With the increase of the output of oriented silicon steel,higher requirements are put forward for oriented silicon steel,the production and preparation of silicon steel grade magnesium oxide has been paid more and more attention.On the basis of research and analysis of relevant literature at home and abroad,the characteristics of silicon steel grade magnesium oxide were described from five aspects of purity,hydration rate,activity,adhesion,particle size distribution.The function of silicon grade magnesium oxide in the production of oriented silicon steel was introduced,the preparation methods of silicon steel grade magnesium oxide and their advantages and disadvantages were classified and summarized,the specific preparation methods include ammonium carbide method,carbonization,hydration and ammonia method.Finally,the future development of silicon steel grade magnesium oxide was prospected systematically from three aspects:hydration agent,impurity removal method and green technology.
