Preparation of β-Cyclodextrin Modified Carbon Black and Its Adsorption Properties Toward Phenolics
Carbon black N115 was oxidized by HNO3 and then grafted with cyclodextrin to prepare cyclodextrin modified carbon black materials, they were confirmed by FT-IR,SEM and TG methods.Furthermore, these materials were used to study the adsorption performance of phenol derivatives. The influence of carbon black content, temperature and time on the removal rate of o-cresol,p-cresol and bisphenol A was investigated before and after the modification of carbon black. The results showed that the adsorption rate of three phenols on carbon black modified by cyclodextrin was significantly improved. The optimal adsorption conditions were as follows:the time 40 min,the dosage 12 mg,the temperature 40℃.The strong inclusion of cyclodextrin on bisphenol A might be the main adsorption mechanism.
