Determination of Residual Chlorine Content in Effluent of Medical Wastewater and Corresponding Factors
The residual chlorine content of medical effluent from the hospital of Ya'an Vocational and Technical College was determined spectrophotometrically by N,N-diethyl-1,4-phenylenediamine,and the differences in the residual chlorine content of medical effluent at different temperatures were analyzed, and the results of the determination of the residual chlorine of medical effluent and three other different water samples were compared. The calibration curve equation of residual chlorine was determined as y=0.209 9x+0.007 9,and the measured results of residual chlorine in medical effluent were 5.336 mg·L-1,5.241 mg·L-1 and 5.479 mg·L-1 in order, with the mean value of 5.352 mg·L-1,STD of 0.120 and RSD of 0.22.The experimental results were in accordance with the residual chlorine discharge standard in Discharge standard of water pollutants for medical organization(GB18466-2005).
