Study on Preparation of SnO2 Nanoparticles and Their Gas Sensitivity to Formaldehyde
SnO2 nanoparticles were prepared by sol-gel method and characterized by XRD and SEM.The sensitivity of nanoparticles to formaldehyde was tested, and the effects of the mole ratio of tin salt to citric acid on the size and gas sensitivity of SnO2 nanoparticles were discussed. The results showed that when the mole ratio of tin salt to citric acid was 1∶2.5,the nanoparticle structure had good dispersion. Moreover, the formaldehyde sensing properties were investigated. The results showed that SnO2 nanoparticles had the characteristics of rapid response and high sensitivity to formaldehyde, showing good application prospect of SnO2 in formaldehyde gas detection.
