Study of Effect of Turbidity on Determination of Hexavalent Chromium in Surface Water
Chromium hexavalent is an important water quality index in surface water environmental monitoring,it is generally determined by spectrophotometry of diphenylcarbamide dihydrazine. This method is susceptible to the interference of turbidity, and the steps of removing turbidity by zinc salt precipitation pretreatment are complicated, and the process is not easy to control. In this experiment,a 25 mm/0.45 μm water phase needle filter was used to filter water samples, and actual water samples with different turbidity were measured, and spiked recovery test was carried out,so as to explore the influence of turbidity on them. The results showed that 0.45 μm water phase needle filter could also achieve turbidity removal effect, and when the turbidity was greater than 1 NTU,the sample should be pretreated by filtering after color development, and then tested by machine.
