Research Progress of Catalysts and Catalytic Mechanisms in Rochow Reaction
Rochow reaction is a multiphase catalytic reaction for directly synthesizing the raw material(methylchlorosilanes)of silicone products. It is still the mainstream process for the production of methylchlorosilanes, because of its lower production cost and relatively simple production process.Copper-based catalysts,as the core catalyst, are used in Rochow reaction, then improving the performance of copper-based catalysts has become the center of this technological development. However,in the actual production process, due to the various and miscellaneous by-products,the real reaction path is difficult to track and the reaction mechanism is still unclear. In this review, the basic principle of Rochow reaction was discussed, and the research progress and development trend of Rochow reaction catalyzed by copper-based catalyst were summarized. In addition, the influences of modified copper-based catalyst on the catalytic performance and the catalytic mechanism were emphatically described, hoping to provide a guidance for the design of high efficiency copper-based catalyst,so as to promote the development of silicone industry.
