Review on Preparation of D-A Polythiophene Composites by Direct Arylation
In recent years, conjugated polymers have attracted extensive attention due to their ability to combine the excellent electronic and optical properties of metals or inorganic semiconductor materials with the mechanical flexibility of polymers, thus creating new materials with superior performance. In the search for more effective synthetic methods for the preparation of conjugated polymers, the progress in the field of direct(hetero)aryl polymerization was reviewed, the most common and adaptable reaction conditions for preparing high molecular weight and defect-free conjugated polymers using different donor units were summarized, and the bottleneck problems faced by the bromothiophene unit in the polymerization process were discussed,as well as some potential problems and solutions.
