Research Progress in Numerical Simulation of Methanation Fixed Bed Reactor and Catalyst
The research progress of numerical simulation of methanation in fixed bed was reviewed.The differences of one-dimensional,two-dimensional and three-dimensional simulation methods in fixed-bed reactor were compared.The one-and two-dimensional simulation can be used to optimize the methanation process.The 3D simulation is closer to the real reactor,and the error between the calculated results and the experimental results is smaller,which is more conducive to the optimization of the reactor structure.The heat transfer research of methanation fixed bed reactor and the key points of simulation were explored.The development of catalyst models used in the numerical simulation of methanation reactor was described.The 3D catalyst model simulation can accurately predict the details of the reaction inside the catalyst,which is more suitable for the study on the influence of different shapes of catalysts on methanation reaction.The future emphases and research directions of numerical simulation of methanation reactor were deduced.
