Study on Preparation and Performance of VPEG Polycarboxylic Acid Water Reducing Agent Based on Co-blending Process
The VPEG-type polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent was prepared by a homemade initiation system using a new six-carbon macromonomer 4-hydroxybutyl vinyl polyoxyethylene ether(VPEG)and acrylic acid(AA)as the main raw materials.Its dispersity for cement paste was evaluated by the fluidity of cement paste,and its structure was characterized by infrared spectrum.Finally,the optimal parameters of"blending"process were determined.The results showed that the best dispersion performance of VPEG-type polycarboxylic acid water reducing agent was achieved when the reaction temperature was 15℃,the acid-ether ratio was 4∶1,the amount of initiator was 0.71%of macromonomer mass,and the amount of chain transfer agent was 8.24%of the molar amount of macromonomer.
