Cycloaddition Reaction of CO2 with Phenylacetylene Oxide Catalyzed by Carboxylate Imidazolium Salts
1,3-Bis(methyl 4-benzoate)benzimidazolium bromide(MBBI+Br-)was synthesized by the reaction of benzimidazole, anhydrous potassium carbonate, acetonitrile and methyl 4-bromomethylbenzoate.The structure of MBBI+Br-was characterized by 1H NMR,IR and TGA before and after catalytic reaction. The results from structural analysis showed that the catalyst had stable structure before and after the cycle reaction. The catalyst was applied to the cycloaddition reaction of CO2 and styrene oxide.Under normal pressure, the yield of the cycloaddition reaction of CO2 and phenylacetylene oxide could reach 94%when the amount of catalyst was 2%(mole fraction),the reaction temperature was 100℃,and the reaction time was 24 h.The yield could still reach more than 90%after 5 cycles of experiments.
