Research Progress in Photocatalytic MOF Composite Materials for Treating Dye Wastewater
Metal organic frameworks(MOFs)have the characteristics of adjustability, high specific surface area, and inherent semiconductor properties. As heterogeneous photocatalysts, they have gradually become a research hotspot in the treatment of dye wastewater. However, due to the rapid recombination between holes and electrons generated during photoexcitation, the efficiency of pollutant removal is usually low.To address this issue, various methods have been employed to composite MOFs with other materials, enhancing their light absorption ability, charge separation ability, and reactivity. In this article, commonly used MOF composite materials in photocatalysis and their synthesis methods were introduced. Finally, some issues that need to be addressed were summarized to achieve breakthroughs in the application of MOFs materials in water treatment.
