Comparative Study of Al2O3-Based Ozone Catalysts with Different Elements
The catalysts of Al2O3 composited with different metal elements were prepared by solvent loss method(SDM).The UV spectra of phenol solution in the process of catalytic ozonation of phenol were compared by experiments. At the same time, the removal rate of phenol solution was determined and the removal effect was compared. The selected metal elements included Mg,Ca,Ni,Mn;in order to compare the degradation effect, the catalytic effect of ozone Al2O3 on phenol was also studied. The results showed that Mg/Al2O3 and Ca/Al2O3 exhibited high ozone catalytic activity, and the concentration of intermediate products began to decrease about 60 min earlier than that of only ozone. When Mg/Al2O3 and Ca/Al2O3 were used as catalysts, the phenol removal rate at 60 min was increased by 28%and 22%compared with ozonation alone.
