Effect of Different Particle Morphology on Properties of Lithium Iron Phosphate
Lithium iron phosphate with different particle morphology was synthesized from iron phosphate, lithium carbonate and glucose by high temperature solid phase method. The effect of different particle morphology on its properties was studied.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),compaction density and constant current charge and discharge were used to test the properties of the materials. The results showed that the tablet type lithium iron phosphate had good charge-discharge capacity, and spherical ferrous lithium phosphate with mixed large and small particles had good comprehensive properties.Among them, the discharge capacity of chip ferrous lithium phosphate at 0.2 C rate was 163.11 mA·h·g-1;the spherical ferrous lithium phosphate with mixed large and small particles accounted for 20%~30%of the primary particle size of 400~1 000 nm and more than 60%of the primary particle size of 50~300 nm.Under the same pulping conditions, the solid content of the slurry was 59.5%,the compaction density of the pole piece was 2.54 g·cm-3,and the discharge capacity was 159.11 mA·h·g-1 at 0.2 C rate.
