Research Progress of Fluorescence Probes for Detecting H2O2
Endogenous H2O2 in cells is mainly produced by the process of mitochondrial electron transfer chain during aerobic respiration in cells. It not only plays the role of cytotoxic agent in oxidative stress in cells, but also is an important messenger molecule. The fluorescence probe method has the advantages of high sensitivity and selectivity, fast response, simple operation, good biocompatibility, and real-time imaging. The use of fluorescence probes to detect endogenous H2O2 related to many human diseases is still a basic technology. In this article, the research progress of small molecule fluorescence probes for detecting H2O2 was reviewed.
