Research on biomass estimation of single needle of Pinus koraiensis in the mountainous area of eastern Liaoning
This study focused on the Pinus koraiensis plantations in Dabiangou Forest Farm in Liaoning Province.Four single-needle biomass models were selected as candidate models.Based on the analytical data of branches from 36 P.koraiensis trees, the optimal basic model was selected.Furthermore,a mixed-effects model for single-needle biomass of P.koraiensis plantations was constructed by introducing sample plots as random effects. The re-sults showed that the model W=aDbHc was the best basic model for fitting the biomass of P.koraiensis leaves in the study area.Compared with the basic model, the goodness of fit of the mixed-effects model was significantly im-proved,and the residual distribution was more convergent and uniform. The final mixed-effects model selected in this study can effectively estimate the leaf biomass of P.koraiensis in the mountainous area of eastern Liaoning, providing a valuable reference for the management and operation of P.koraiensis plantations.
