Survey and conservation strategies for rare and endangered wild plant resources in the Qilian Mountains
To gain a deeper understanding of the current distribution status of rare and endangered wild plant resources in the Qilian Mountain Reserve and enhance conservation efforts,a systematic survey of wild plant resources in the Qilian Mountains was conducted from June 2023 to June 2024,with specific focus on identifying key issues in conservation.The survey results indicate that rare and endangered wild plants in the Qilian Mountain Reserve are diverse in species,widely distributed,and exhibit significant community differences.By referencing relevant directories,43 species be-longing to 32 genera and 19 families of rare and endangered wild plants within the Qilian Mountain Nature Reserve were screened out.Issues identified in conservation efforts include limited and superficial promotion of protective regulations,imprecise and insufficiently detailed resource survey databases,and sluggish progress in emergency conservation work.Corresponding countermeasures have been proposed to address these major issues.
