Selection and Cultivation Technigues of a New High-yield and Good Quality Foxtail Millet ‘ Jingu NO.51'
Jingu 51 was a new foxtail millet variety bred by crossing between Jingu 30 as male parent and Pin-gu 2 as female parent in Institute of Crop Science, Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It is a fine varieties with the characteristics of high and stable yield, high quality, wide adaptation and disease resistance. It was registered by the Shanxi province and National Foxtail Millet Variety Examination Committee in 2010 to 2011, It was suitable for planting in middle-late maturing areas of Shanxi province and more than 150 frost-free days in northwest china.
