Study on Physiological Characteristics of Tomato Seedlings under Salt Stress
The index of plant salt resistance is the basis of studying the mechanism and ability of plant salt re-sistance.In this experiment, the effects of different concentrations of NaCl on the growth and development of tomato were studied by simulating soil salinization with nutrient soil,in order to provide theoretical basis for further study on the regulation of tomato growth and quality under salt stress. The results showed that 0.04 mol/L NaCl,0.08 mol/L NaCl and 0.16 mol/L NaCl significantly inhibited the growth of plant height and stem diameter.During the whole treatment period, the higher the concentration of NaCl,the greater the inhibition of tomato plant height growth.Salt stress significantly reduced the yield and fruit weight of tomato. With the increase of NaCl concentration, this effect became stronger. The effect of salt stress on the yield of tomato was mainly caused by the decrease of fruit weight, not by the number of fruit per plant.
