Wild hazelnuts are mainly distributed in northern China and have the characteristics of cold resist-ance,barrenness tolerance,strong adaptability,and rich nutrition in hazelnuts.They are an important ecolog-ical economic forest species.This study focuses on the wild hazelnut in Chengde area,and conducts experi-ments on the effects of different nurturing measures on the growth and results of wild hazelnuts to address issues such as low yield and poor benefits.The experimental results show that adopting strip nurturing on steep slopes and pier(clump)nurturing on gentle slopes can significantly improve the growth,development,and fruiting ability of wild hazelnut forests.
