Characteristics of precipitation events of different levels in Liaoning province from 1961 to 2012
Based on precipitation data from 52 weather stations from 1961 to 2012 in Liaoning province,character-istics of precipitation, number of rain day and rain intensity in Liaoning province were analyzed by methods of a linear trend estimate,a trend analysis and a Mann-Kendall and so on.The results show that the maximums of pre-cipitation and number of rain day both occur in July, while the maximium of rain intensity is in August.Annual precipitation both are in a decreasing trend (3.47 mm/10 a),so is summer and autumn precipitation. However, winter and spring precipitation both are in increasing trends. The number of annual rain day is also in a decreasing trend (2.93 mm/10 a)because of decreasing in light rain day in summer. The number of rain day in spring is in an increasing trend, while that in summer and autumn is in a decreasing trend. There is not significant change for the number of winter rain day.Rain intensity is in a signigicant increasing tendency (0.22 mm·d -1 per ten years) because of increasing in light rain intensity in autumn,so is seasonal rain intensity.Precipitation increases from northwest to southeast in Liaoning province. The maximum decreasing rate occurs in Fengcheng with 28.4 mm per decade.Annual rain day is more in east than in west. The maximum decreasing rate is in Xinbin with 9.9 days per decade.Annual rain intensity is higher in the east of Liaoning province, especially in Donggang with increasing rate of 0.8 mm·d -1 per decade.Spatial distribution and long changing tendency of annual precipitation are similar to those of rain day, while it is an opposite changing tendency with rain intensity.Annual rain day has an abrupt change in 1981,while annual precipitation and rain intensity have no obvious abrupt changes.
