Mechanical and anticorrosive properties of modified graphene/polyaniline waterborne polyurethane coatings
In order to improve the anticorrosive properties of waterborne polyurethane coatings,gra-phene oxide(GO)was synthesized by Hummer's method using p-phenylenediamine as a reductant to obtain modified graphene(PGO).Finally,it was compounded with polyaniline(PANI)to prepare PANI/PGO.It was added into waterborne polyurethane lotion(WPU)as a filler, mixed evenly, and then brushed onto tinplate, and the coating was characterized by FTIR and XRD.The thermal stabil-ity,mechanical properties, water absorption, hydrophobicity, corrosion resistance, and acid-base re-sistance of the composite coating were investigated. The results show that the composite coating PA-NI/PGO 2 exhibits excellent corrosion resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and mechanical proper-ties.When the PGO content is 0.05%,the tensile strength of the coating reaches 19.8 MPa,the e-longation reaches 98.3%,the hardness of the coating is 5 H,the water absorption rate is 2.26%,the water contact angle is 70.3°,and the corrosion rate can reach 0.002 mm/a,indicating good anti-cor-rosion performance. The addition of modified Graphene can significantly improve the mechanical and anticorrosion properties of polyaniline waterborne polyurethane coatings.
