Analysis of trade pattern and influencing factors of high-tech products between China and G7 countries
The rivalry between the two countries is intensifying,and the United States advocated unity against China at the G7 summit.Future cooperation between China and Western countries in the field of science and technology is not optimistic.Based on the trade data of the United Nations Commodity Trade Database and the export similarity index,this paper studies the development trend of high-tech product trade between G7 countries and China.The research findings are as follows:①The char-acteristics of high-tech product export structure of China and G7 countries lead to the need for each country to make up for its own high-tech shortcomings through imports.②The comparative advan-tage of China's high-tech products is weaker than that of G7 countries.③National economic scale,foreign direct investment in China,regional differences and other factors have an important impact on high-tech product trade.
