Study on Fatigue Characteristics and Durability Evaluation of Asphalt Pavement
Mastering the change trend and distribution of pavement structural damage under load is cru-cial for the later maintenance,service life judgment,and design of roads.A pavement structural damage calculation model was established using finite element software,and its structural damage trend,spatial dis-tribution,and internal horizontal normal stress change and distribution were analyzed and calculated.The research results showed that:under the double wheel centerline,the closer the subbase and base layer are to the bottom layer,the higher the damage degree value,and the damage degree rapidly increases with the in-crease of the distance between the subbase and the bottom layer;The damage degree of the base layer is higher than that of the subbase layer,but its damage range is smaller than that of the subbase layer;The in-creasing rate of damage degree increases with the increase of the number of load actions;In the vertical di-rection,the distribution of horizontal normal stress in the subbase layer and the base layer is similar.Due to the impact of tensile stress damage,the distribution of horizontal normal stress in the parts closer to the layer bottom decreases.When the distance from the layer bottom exceeds 5cm and 7cm,the horizontal ten-sile stress shows a linear increase trend;The horizontal normal stress distribution at the bottom of the base layer along the horizontal direction presents a left-right symmetrical concave pattern,and the horizontal tensile stress shows a trend of first rapidly increasing and then rapidly decreasing when extending from the position of the double wheel centerline to both sides.
