The cost management of highway projects is related to the economic benefits of enterprises and their sustainable development.Only by strengthening the cost control of projects can highway general con-tracting enterprises maintain a firm footing in the fierce market competition.It is established an evaluation index system for the influencing factors of highway project cost control through literature review and con-sultation with relevant scholars.On this basis,questionnaires are designed to obtain basic data and tests the evaluation index system using the structural equation model(SEM).The study concludes that personnel factors have the greatest impact on the cost control of highway projects.The research findings provide new ideas and methods for cost management and control of highway projects in China.
