Analysis of medal distribution and performance characteristics of different event groups in swimming at the 33rd Paris Olympic Games
By using the methods of literature,video observation and mathematical statistics,the distribution of swimming medals and the performance characteristics of different events in the 33rd Paris Olympic Games were analyzed.The results show that:(1)The medal distribution in the swimming events of the 33rd Paris Olympics was mainly concentrated in the United States,Australia,and China,and although some other countries or regions were trying to catch up,there was still a significant gap compared to these leading countries;(2)In the speed swimming events dominated by physical fitness,the United States and Australia had many high-level athletes,and they had a certain gap with other countries,while the Chinese team showed strong competitiveness,and their overall competitiveness had significantly improved compared to the previous Olympics;(3)In the endurance swimming events dominated by physical fitness,a competitive situation emerged with the United States and Australia leading,France and Canada competing against each other,and China failing to win any medals;(4)In the difficult and beautiful swimming events dominated by skills,the Chinese team won all 10 medals,demonstrating strong competitiveness and a deep talent pool;(5)In the water polo competition which in the same field confrontation project group dominated by technical and tactical abilities,the Chinese team,as which well as the teams of other Asian countries and regions,still had a significant gap compared to the world's leading countries in this project.
