Research on the Recommended Amount of Nutritional Requirement and Reference of Feed Formulas for Zhuanghe Dagu Chicken
The characteristics of Zhuanghe Dagu chicken are good tasty, large size, strong toler-ance for roughage and suitable for free-range. So, specific nutritional requirement was formed in Dagu chicken. Now, seldom results concerning nutritional requirement of Dagu chicken were reported and affected the utilization rate of feed and economic benefit of breeding. According to the re-sults of Dagu chicken rearing in our farm, we suggested the recommended amount of nutritional re-quirement for breeding hens, egg-laying poultry and market poultry refer to the data of nutrition-al need for commercial and native chicken breeds/strains. Recommended amount of supplementary nu-tritional requirement for free-range Dagu chicken was proposed based on nutritional need and in-take of chicken in free-range. Various feed formulas in accord with feeding types were programmed depended on price and feeding value of feedstuff.
