As one of the first 16'most harmful alien species'in China,the Pomacea canaliculata exhibits strong adaptability,high reproductive capacity,and a diverse diet.Due to failed attempts at commercialization,it has rapidly spread and invaded multiple regions in China,causing severe damage to agricultural production,livestock development,aquatic ecosystems,and human and animal health.The article provides an overview of the biological characteristics and harms caused by the Pomacea canaliculata,summarizing current prevention and control measures,including physical,agricultural,biological,and chemical strategies.The aim is to offer insights into the prevention and control of the Pomacea canaliculata and its application in ecological aquaculture.
