Application of cassava as energy feed in pig production
The resources of conventional feed(corn, soybean meal, etc.)are scarce in our country,so it is urgent to explore unconventional feed.Cassava has the characteristics of high starch content, high yield per unit and low requirements for the planting environment, and is the best substitute for grain feed. However, cassava contains anti-nutrient factors such as tannin and hydrocyanic acid, which need to be processed before it can be used as a source of feed energy. In this paper, the nutritional characteristics, production technology and application of cassava in pig breeding were summarized in order to provide some reference for the subsequent research.
