Diagnosis and treatment of a dog with hindlimb paralysis by traditional Chinese and western medicine
Hindlimb paralysis in dogs is mainly caused by intervertebral disc injury,nerve block,metabolic disorder and other factors,which make the hindlimbs lose motor function.Surgery and hormones are often used to treat it,but the effect is not ideal.The paper introduces the diagnosis and treatment of a dog with hind limb paralysis by integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.Through clinical symptom observation,blood routine,blood biochemical examination,C-reactive protein examination,blood gas analysis and imaging examination,the case was comprehensively confirmed.Supporting therapy,acupuncture,acupoint injection of nerve nutrient solution and auxiliary rehabilitation exercises were used to treat the sick dog,and the dog recovered.
