Detection and analysis of Rickettsia carriers in Melophagus ovinus in a ranch in Kunyu City,Xinjiang
The purpose of the study was to understand the infection of Rickettsia in Melophagus ovinus in sheep in a ranch in Kunyu City,Xinjiang.A total of 82 Melophagus ovinus were collected from the sheep body surface of the ranch, and the DNA of the Melophagus ovinus was extracted after morphological identification, and the 17 kDa gene and geneD gene of Rickettsia were amplified by molecular biology technology, and the sequencing results were used to construct a phylogenetic tree and perform genetic evolution analysis using sequence analysis software MEGA7.0.The results showed that the species collected was Melophagus ovinus and was detected to carry Rickettsia and was identified as the tentative Candidatus Rickettsia barbariae. The results showed that Melophagus ovinus carried Rickettsia in a pasture in Kunyu City,Xinjiang, and the results could provide some data support for the Rickettsia carried by Melophagus ovinus in Xinjiang.
