Research progress on factors affecting the formation of tissue cysts of Toxoplasma gondii in vitro and in vivo
Traditionally, animal experiments are needed during the two stages when Toxoplasma gondii develops into mature tissue cysts(bradyzoites)and oocysts(sporozoites),which greatly hinders the biological study of morphology and metabolism in these stages, and the stage is very important for Toxoplasma gondii infection. Therefore, the use of in vitro induction in the study of tissue cysts has become an important way of research, and some breakthroughs have been made in this field in recent years. The article reviews the factors affecting the formation of tissue cysts, aiming to provide a reference for the research, prevention and control of toxoplasmosis.
