Phylogenetic analysis of the mitochondrial genes of Eremias multiocellata in parts of Northwest China
The purpose of the study was to explore the phylogenetic relationship of the Eremias multiocellata in Northwest China. The mitochondrial ND2 and ND4 genes of the Eremias multiocellata were amplified and sequenced, and the phylogenetic tree was constructed based on the ND2 and ND4 genes and otherEremias multiocellata varieties in China, and then the phylogenetic relationship was analyzed. The results showed that there was gene flow in Yanchiwan,Gansu, and Otog Front Banner,Inner Mongolia. The phylogenetic tree based on ND2 gene showed that gene flow was also present in Eremias multiocellata M88 from Shapotou,Ningxia, and M102 from Uxin Banner,Inner Mongolia. The research shows that in order to protect the germplasm resources and maintain species diversity, excessive gene exchange should be avoided when formulating protection measures, and osmotic hybridization with related species should be properly controlled.
