Isolation, identification, and antibiotic resistance analysis of Escherichia coli from geese
In order to clarify the drug resistance of goose Escherichia coli, samples of goose body fluids and cloacal swabs were collected from large-scale goose farms in Liaoning from 2020 to 2022.The isolates were identified by isolation culture, morphological observation, biochemical test and molecular biology, and the drug sensitivity of the isolates was determined by microdilution method. The results showed that 60 strains of Escherichia coli were isolated from 110 samples. The resistance rate of the isolates to amoxicillin and ampicillin was over 90%,and the resistance rate to compound sulfamethoxazole, enrofloxacin, florfenicol and ofloxacin was over 30%,while the resistance rate to clavulanic acid, gentamicin, spectinomycin, sulfamethoxazole and oxytetracycline was low,and it was highly sensitive to polymyxin B.The study indicates that Escherichia coli isolated from Liaoning has a high resistance rate to most of the above antibiotics. Therefore, scientific feeding and biosafety management should be adopted to enhance body resistance and reduce pathogen infection, and sensitive antibiotics should be used scientifically to effectively control goose colibacillosis and avoid the generation and spread of drug resistance of strains.
