Research on the effects of different modes of stacking fermentation of sheep manure
The experiment aimed to explore an economical, convenient, and environmentally friendly harmless treatment model for sheep manure suitable for small-scale breeding farms(households)in Wuwei City,Gansu Province. The trial used four different fermentation treatment modes, with two treatments set in each group according to whether fermentation microorganisms were added,to investigate the impact of different fermentation modes on fermentation temperature, air and soil environment, the quality of matured manure, and the input and output of fermentation. The results showed that during natural stacking aerobic fermentation, the fermentation pile with a cover was less affected by temperature and had a lower degree of air environmental pollution. The addition of microbial agents increased the temperature during manure fermentation and shortened the maturation time, but had little effect on the nutritional components of the matured sheep manure. The study suggests that, based on the comprehensive results of the experiment, sheep farms(households)with a herd of less than 1 000 should opt for the natural stacking aerobic fermentation method with plastic film on the bottom and nano film on top on a suitable plot of land, while sheep farms with a herd of more than 2 000 should use the nano film fermentation machine with forced ventilation and oxygen supply that is marketed and promoted for fermenting manure waste.
