Diagnosis and treatment experience of 11 cases of canine pancreatitis
Pancreatitis is a common digestive system disease in dogs.The article statistically analyzes the onset,clinical symptoms,laboratory examination results,and treatment methods of 11 canine pancreatitis cases,summarizing the clinical diagnostic and treatment approaches for this disease.The results indicate that obesity,middle to older age,overeating,and feeding with human food are the main risk factors for canine pancreatitis.After the onset of the disease,the main clinical symptoms in the dogs were abdominal pain,anorexia,vomiting,and fever,with 90.91%experiencing abdominal pain and anorexia.In the blood biochemical examination results of the dogs,the proportions of sick dogs with increased amylase and lipase were 81.82%and 54.55%,respectively.The treatment principles for canine pancreatitis are to eliminate the cause,protect the pancreas,inhibit pancreatic enzyme secretion,and provide symptomatic and supportive therapy.Following these treatment principles,10 dogs were cured,and one dog died(due to the owner's decision to stop treatment).By analyzing the causes,symptoms,examination results,and treatment of the aforementioned cases,this article aims to provide a reference for the clinical diagnosis,treatment,and prevention of canine pancreatitis.
