Detection and analysis of porcine circovirus type 2 antibody in some areas of Xinjiang from 2022 to 2023
The study aimed to understand the antibody levels of porcine circovirus type 2(PCV2)in some areas of Xinjiang from 2022 to 2023,in order to provide a reference for the scientific prevention and control of the disease. The experiment used the indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)to detect PCV2 antibodies in 296 serum samples from 11 pig farms in three regions. The results showed that the average positive rate of PCV2 antibodies was 85.47%(253/296),higher than the national standard(70%).Among the 11 large-scale pig farms surveyed, except for the farm A and farm C,which did not meet the national standard for PCV2 antibody levels,81.82%(9/11)of the pig farms reached the antibody level and immunization standard for herd immunity. The study indicates that the overall immunization effect of PCV2 in pig farms in the Xinjiang area is good, but some farms have lower levels of PCV2 antibodies, necessitating adjustments and improvements to existing immunization procedures to ensure the health of all pig herds.
